Cars For Sale

Two 1950 Custom 4-door Sedans: First car,  complete #5 car sitting in a barn 2 ½ hrs north of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. Drove it into the barn 22 years ago and has not been moved or started since. Complete car but needs a full restoration.

Clear title $1,500. Also 2nd 1950 Sedan #6 car with some parts missing but 90% complete.  $1,000. Contact Steve Thursby, 9405 NE 81st Ave, Vancouver, WA 98662 360-314-8301. NDC #263.

1952 Firedome 4 door Sedan: All original Hemi, some custom work including paint and wheels. Fluid Drive, 62.883 miles, solid car.  $8,000. O.B.O. Contact Barry Cleveland, 7397 Gun Club Road, New Tripoli, PA 18066. Phone 610-298-8374. E-mail barryc@autoshowart.com.  NDC #4434.

1955 Fireflite 2 door Hardtop: with a good body and super engine. Time caught me, and I cannot finish it. This is not a hot rod, but my idea of a 1955 Adventurer. The radiator is fresh, Hemi engine is a '56 bored to ‘57 specs, 341 cubic inches. The engine is a full professional rebuild with it being balanced and blueprinted, block sonic checked. Electric choke carburetor, 340 oil pump and electronic distributor. The intake manifold was machined to look and operate like today's aftermarket manifolds, a full dual plane. The cam is reground and has more lift and duration, but has a very smooth idle, yet lots of go. Lots of aluminum parts to cut weight. Headers also for exhaust, which are 2 ½” dual pipes. The torque converter is 2,500 stall for good acceleration, and a turbo 350 beefed for the weight of the car. The rear end is later model 8 ¾” without the axel nuts. Tires have not seen the road yet. No broken glass. New cast steering wheel. The grill is complete and perfect, as are the re-plated bumpers still in the wrappers. The hood is in primer, as I stopped there not knowing who would want a bright red and white car. All trim is in the trunk and a few extra pieces, 95% of it just needs cleaning and installing. I found and installed a very, very rare set of original traction bars with the decals still in place. These usually went on the 300's. The 291 engine would not even spin the tires. There is so much more. With gas in the carb. the engine starts instantly. Has a gear reduction starter. Lots of new parts on the shelves not installed yet, need paint first. $12,000. Contact Roger Lafky, 5107 S. Mohawk Dr. Spokane, WA 99206. Phone 509-924-8874.

NDC #1456.

1955 Fireflite Sedan: Good body with no dents. Chrome in front has no dents either but “hand grip” on front of hood is split. New brakes and tires. Uses 6-volt battery and starts every time. Has power steering and a clock on top of the dashboard. No radio or A/C. Asking $11,500. Contact Michael Drissman, 28941 Ramblewood Dr. Farmington Hills, MI 48334. Phone 248-672-1131. E-mail michael@drissman.com. NDC #4014.

1959 Firesweep 2 door Sportsman: M412 114662 parts car. The lower quarters, rear wheel openings, rockers and trunk floor have been cut out. The left front fender is crumpled but the right front fender and hood are OK. The doors are good (can be used on any convertible or 2 door hardtop) along with the glass. There is no windshield and no interior. Good 122” WB frame with complete drive train. This car has a complete factory air conditioning system. $1,800. OBO. Contact Alan Ralston, P.O. Box 50652, Mendota, MN 55150. Phone 651-686-8932. E-mail desotodriver@hotmail.com. NDC #58.

1959 Firedome Sedan: M431 111639 (AAA – black). 99,500 miles and an OK driver. The engine is getting tired and smokes a little, so the valve guides or piston rings are probably worn.  The body is very solid with minimal rust. Original paint is good and the original interior is fair. This car has manual steering and manual brakes. Solid sedan at a low price. $6,000. OBO. Contact Alan Ralston, P.O. Box 50652, Mendota, MN 55150. Phone 651-686-8932. E-mail desotodriver@hotmail.com. NDC #58.

1959 Fireflite Sedan: M451 102535 parts car.  Pretty much a complete car. There is rust in the eyebrows of both front fenders. Rust in the rockers, lower quarters and floors. The hood, trunk lid and doors are all very good. There is no front seat. The engine is complete with carb. and air cleaner. Torqueflite transmission and correct rear end. Nice parts car to complete a restoration. $1,800. OBO. Contact Alan Ralston, P.O. Box 50652, Mendota, MN 55150. Phone 651-686-8932. E-mail desotodriver@hotmail.com. NDC #58.

1959 Fireflite Explorer Wagon: Parts car. Not much more than a solid 126” WB chassis. No engine or transmission and the rear end is incorrect. There is some wagon sheet metal included, but it is pretty much cut up. This would be an excellent chassis to replace your rusty Firedome, Fireflite or Adventurer chassis. $500. OBO. Contact Alan Ralston, P.O. Box 50652, Mendota, MN 55150. Phone 651-686-8932. E-mail desotodriver@hotmail.com. NDC #58.

1959 Fireflite Explorer Wagon: M471 100442 (painted red and white) car is undergoing a professional restoration and is 70% done. Has PB, PS, PW, and Solex glass. 100 point quality throughout. Over $150K spent. Best offer over $100K. Contact Alan Ralston, P.O. Box 50652, Mendota, MN 55150. Phone 651-686-8932. E-mail desotodriver@hotmail.com. NDC #58.
