I was home by 5:00 PM, and had an uneventful drive. The water pump I replaced on Wednesday morning, on the '59 worked without any trouble. I did notice one thing, as I drove north, the weather outside was getting downright chilly. It was 86 here at home.................

Had a great time, watching the elevators in the lobby, keeping cool.

What was Best of Show? Diamond in the Rough?

Any hard luck stories?

Who won the awards?

Next year?

We are going to need a fix when Rick shuts us down next week

1. Believe this or not, I never take pictures. Too lazy. Sorry. Anyway, I am sure others did.
2. A Desoto. Another Desoto.
3. Me, the story of my life.
4. People.
5. Reno, Nevada

:( I regret to say that I could not make it this year.

I do not have a large repository of images to share

I did find one flickr photographers set of images.

It is of Joe and Bobbi Youngblood's
1947 Custom Convertible Princess Cleopatra.

Here is a link to one of his images he does not have them in a set.

Interesting stuff especially that the 2011 convention is in Reno. I have never been there but it is supposed to be beautiful. Being from AZ, Reno is actually reasonably doable for me like the Albuquerque convention. I need to check the map because my priority would be to get the car out of the heat ASAP, even though it does not have a history of overheating. The Easterners and Midwesterners I believe can stay cool along I40. I believe
I40 is the one to take. Do Easterners think they are going to make it?

We also got home Sunday afternoon and had a good time as we always do at the convention. Looking forward to Reno it should be fun. Hopefully, we can take a couple of weeks coming and going to enjoy the many things to see and do in the Rockies and out West.
