Dear Group,
I was fortunate to find a pair of station wagon back-up lights recently in a wrecking yard. They came off a 56 Chrysler wagon, which need some work, but I think I can get them back to original operating and looking condition. I should get them rechromed or perhaps can sand the pits out and do some polishing and clear coating. The lenses have the usual stress marks in them and have hard water stains on the inside of the fluting grooves. I got some of the hard water stains out , but not completely. Has anyone experienced similar problems and found a solution for removing the hard water stains?
I have polished the outside of them, and they look as good as I can make them.
For that matter, does anyone know if the backup lenses are remade.
Thanks,
