Thanks to Mark for helping me solve the oil filter problem. Your information was useful and I have already ordered an adapter base for a "spin-on" filter for the 291 engine. As you probably know the spin-on filters each are equipped with a built in check valve to prevent such leak down.
You probably already know this, but I'll share anyway. The reason you wait up to 5 seconds for pressure after a several day dormant period is because the original style filter has completely emptied and you must fill it before you send oil anyplace else. Scary huh!!
Thanks again, I'll let you know how the $71.00 adapter works out.
