My 55 Desoto has a leaky manual valve lever shaft oil seal. In the photo, you can see tranny fluid leaking from below the lower lever. Does anyone have tool C-3277 that they can loan out, or know where I can get this tool ?

FWIW, you can pop the old seal out with a punch or screwdriver.

Then use a deep well socket and a c-clamp to squeeze the new seal in.

Good Luck

Here's what I ended up doing: Once I removed the valve body, I used a brass drift
and tapped out the seal. Then I positioned the new seal. Using a 1/4" piece of steel stock on top of the seal and a 1 x 4" piece of wood across the valve body housing, I positioned a large C-clamp in place. Closing the C-clamp positioned the seal in place.
