The next meeting of the Buckeye Chapter will be at the Honey Creek Fire Museum in New Carlisle, OH. This is a small privately-owned museum run by Jane and Ron Manemann that displays quite a bit of fire-fighting equipment from the 19th century. This museum is located at 311 N. Adams St. in New Carlisle, and is opened by appointment only. We’re scheduled for the 6th of May at 11 AM. In addition to their fire museum, they also have a company store replica as well as a 1930 Ford Model A Tudor – and Ron is looking forward to seeing some De Sotos! After touring these attractions, we’ll go to lunch at the near-by Studebaker’s Country Restaurant. This museum if free – there is no admission fee. NOTE: There is neither heat nor air conditioning in the museum! If it’s a warm day, then they’ll open the windows and turn on the fans. If it’s a cool day, then dress appropriately!

CHANGE OF PLANS

Yesterday, I got a phone call from Mrs. Manemann who said that her husband and herself are both having health problems. Therefore, the fire museum is temporarily closed. The Buckeye Chapter now plans to go directly to the Studebaker's Country Restaurant for lunch.
