Hey fellow desoto guys,
My 46 desoto 4door is in need of the bracket that holds the small chrome trim on the cowl, between the passenger door and hood.
If anyone has one they'd like to sell or where I can get one please let me know.
Thanks fellas.

Rick,
If you were a member of the National De Soto Club you would receive our publication De Soto Adventures wherein you would find under the classification Parts Suppliers and Reproducers, the following ad:
Swan Neck Mirrors for 41-42 and 46 to early 49 De Soto, Dodge and Chrysler. Originally these were an option but are now being reproduced by:
Harms Distinctive Restorations. Phone: 815 978-4247. Website: HarmsDistinctiveRestorations.com (NDC member #5400). These mirrors mount where that little chrome piece is located on the cowl between the hood and door. This will solve your problem AND spiff up your S11.
Check out the menu on the left and click on RENEW or JOIN THE CLUB to find out that it only costs $30/year to join the NDC and receive 6 issues of the De Soto Adventures award winning magazine, meet many of the almost 1,100 members, find parts and literature for your car plus get to know our president, Les Pesavento who is also the club's Technical Advisor.
Our national convention is in San Diego this year, August 23-27 with quite a few members driving Route 66 on their way there and back. Next year's convention is expected to be in Branson, Missouri.
We would love to have you join us!

I found mine on ebay after looking for a long time. You have to just keep checking often. I would like to have the mirrors but they are very expensive, I believe they are $400.00 each. I could be wrong on that price though.

Hey guys,
Been very busy but I actually made some brackets from small pieces of sheet metal, metal cutters, vice, meddle nose pliers, a drill press, and a torch.
They seem to work great and the trim is holding great.
Maybe got lucky lol but they work!!
