Hello friends,
I have a chance to buy a 59 DeSoto Firesweep two door hardtop with tons of parts and an extra parts car.
Is the stainless trim on the rear quarter panels available for purchase?
He said the passenger side is not there an the back quarter

You might be able to find them by posting here and on the Forward Look forum.

If not, I suggest removing all the aluminum and paint the sweep. That way no moisture will get behind and promote rust which probably has already happened to a degree.

Good luck with your project and keep us posted with your progress.

Thanks Fred,
I took the journey to see the car, was way worse than I was told, has to pass.
I’d never seen a car like that and with the tall fins, lol, reached to the sky and back lol.
I’m going to be on the lookout for one to restore, would be such a cool car

The ForwardLook crowd on Facebook is CONSTANTLY posting cars for sale located all over the country. Seems like everybody monitors their local Craigslist, and when something comes up, they share it on Facebook.

It'd be one way for you to keep up with cars for sale from everywhere.
