The door and window crank handles are retained by a square spring clip that snaps into a groove on the shaft of the window regulator or door actuator.

This clip needs to be pushed out of the groove to allow the handles to come off.

The correct tool for this task is KD-435, and can occasionally be found on ebay, flea markets, etc. There is another less common tool shown in the pictures below as well.

A homemade tool can be made with a bent butter knife from your kitchen drawer, but it's best to get permission before you go raiding the kitchen!

Below are pictures showing the clips and tools necessary to efficiently remove your handles. The handles frequently require some wiggling to get them off the shaft.

Tim, will the GM clip removal tool work on these clips?

It can probably be made to work, however it's missing the little "upturn" that more effectively pushes on the Mopar clip.
