Can I connect a 440 to my powerflite transmission?
The crankshaft end on the 440 looks like it doesn't stick out as far as the 361. I'm just looking through the inspection plate, but they look different. Has anyone done this before?
Thanks, Dane

It won't work unless you change the transmission the torque converter is bolted to the crank on the 59 and the 440 uses a flex plate

If you locate a first series 413 Crank Shaft
it will bolt into the 440 using all the items
from the 440's block.

Then it will bolt to the older bell housing, flex
plate and anything else like the first series
starter.

**********************************
The Exh Manifolds, Oil Pan and Oil Pick Up
from the 361 will bolt the 440.

**********************************
The 413's, 426 Wedge's and the first series
440 all have the same part number of In-take
Manifold.
