OK, I got my coupe home and its a 47 not a 46. I have a 46 model taxi I just bought too but its data plate is missing. I was wondering if there is a resource here that can help me interpret my data plate?

Hola John

Most of us - must see - "The Data Plate" before any information can be given.

Hola John

We have a Monterey Blue - 1947 - 4 door - "Custom".

One day in about 2003'ish I decided that I wanted to use this car to pull a RV Trailer that we had. I called http://www.springsnthings.com/ and told them I wanted a new set of Heavy Duty Rear Springs. On what seemed as "next Tuesday" a set of Rear Springs was waiting for me when I got off work. When I raised the car --- what I had in a new package - did not match with what was under the car.

From under the car I called http://www.springsnthings.com/ . They asked if the package had number xxxx -xx and I stated this was correct. Again they said that I had H.D. Springs. Their next question was for me to count every spring or give a very good description. I told them it appears as if they came from a 3/4 ton Dodge Truck. This is when I learned that I had Commercial and Extreme H.D. Springs aka "Taxi Spec'd Springs".

Because of this - I started looking at other items. My Engine Cooling Fan is a Five Paddle ( vs a 4 paddle ) and The Generator/ Voltage Regulator is a 45 AMP unit ( vs a 35 AMP Unit ) .

The Rear Axle Ratio is 3.5 to 1 .

I still have never looked into The Body Number Plate on The Fire-Wall.
