Some of you will recognize the name - Bob Schmidt. He is the premier restoration specialist of DeSotos in particular and is located here in Branson, MO.

I have the pleasure of working for Bob and hopefully we all will be able to visit his shop during he NDC National Convention in August.

That convertible he restored several years ago is beautiful, and is also pretty much my favorite color combo. Even before he put it on that car!

This one is the third one he has done or in this case, is doing, in this color combo. There is another one coming too but has not arrived yet. The one you might be thinking of, Tim, brought $365,000.00 at Barrett-Jackson a few years back.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, here is the latest................

Car is for sale but there is one person who is a friend of the owner that gets first crack at it. It is a 21000 mile factory original that is one family owned.

The 1958 newspaper ad with Sites Brothers closing their doors was found in the DeSoto which was purchased from them. Sometimes miracles do happen - who would have ever expected to find something like this in the trunk of the car 59 years later?

Let me know if anyone has an interest but you know it ain't gonna be cheap!
